Welcome to the official website of the Dick Gaughan Legacy Project – a group of friends of Dick who want to see his recorded legacy (both released and previously unreleased) more widely celebrated and available.
In March 2027, a fabulous 3CD Live at the BBC: 1984–2005 set will be released by The Last Music Company. It features 50 songs from the ‘second phase’ of Dick’s career, including all six of his studio sessions for Andy Kershaw. The 36-page booklet includes a new interview with Dick by Colin Harper and an appreciation by Stewart Lee. Order it here.
The crowdfunder for legal fees to help Dick retrieve the rights to seven albums is ongoing and can be found here.
The CD edition of Live at the BBC: 1972–79 is still available via the usual online retailers or via our release partner Talking Elephant.
The R/evolution: 1969–83 box set – generously crowdfunded in 2025 – was released in January 2026. Strictly limited to 1,500 copies, it’s now officially sold out. The single-vinyl Live at the BBC: 1972–79 and two Kickstarter CD 'extras' (Live in Belfast 1979-82 and Live in the 70s) are also sold out.
